Although my career began with teaching at Southwest Texas State in Industrial Technology, I moved into administrative roles and distance learning during my doctoral program at UT. My first DL position was running an audioconference vocational education program in Health Occupations for high school students. That program led to one of my proudest accomplishments - designing and delivering an audio-based Algebra course for migrant students across the country. From there I moved into videoconferencing and then online learning in the mid-1990s. These experiences led me to amazing opportunities at UT System, IPAs with the Obama Administration, and into my current roles at Blackboard, now Anthology.
